ABOUT JACKIE

Jackie Hering is a professional triathlete from the United States known for her exceptional performances in long-distance triathlons, including Ironman and 70.3 (half Ironman) events. Born in Wisconsin, Hering has been a competitive athlete for much of her life, initially focusing on swimming before transitioning to triathlon. She is known for her consistency, strength across all three disciplines (swimming, cycling, and running), and her ability to perform well in a variety of conditions and race formats.

 

Jackie is most notably recognized for her impressive return to the Ironman circuit after taking a nine-year break. During her hiatus, she focused on family and other pursuits, only to come back stronger than ever. Her return was marked by a series of remarkable performances, including victories and podium finishes, demonstrating her resilience and exceptional talent. In her first IRONMAN race since 2015, Jackie took first place in the IRONMAN® European Championship Hamburg in June 2025, with a time of 8:19:14

 

Hering has achieved numerous podium finishes throughout her career, including victories in Ironman 70.3 events. She is particularly well-regarded for her endurance, strategic race execution, and resilience in the face of tough competition. As a mother, she also balances her athletic career with family life, often sharing insights into managing both roles.
