On the nose, it presents almost unapologetically sweet….which, given that this was made by my wife, Ella, is hardly an unexpected revelation.
The palate initially opens up with a top note of the stone fruit, only to be abruptly confronted by the honey! Somehow creating a fleeting dissonance between the two. For a brief moment, the pairing feels almost like I was watching UFC 330: Makhachev vs Garry fighting for dominance round after round.
Yet, as the finish develops, the two notes remarkably reconcile themselves, settling into an unexpectedly unanimous decision. It suffices and will be shelved next to the Ghosts, and White Monsters.
For those few seconds or less, I thought I was choosing Texas 😔🤠 10 out of 10 recommend.
