The Best Protein Waffles Recipe Ever

To celebrate Canada Day this year, we're sharing this delicious recipe for the most anabolic breakfast item yet. But protein waffles are good at anytime of the day, so no need to stick to breakfast only! Follow along the recipe below:

What You'll Need:

- CBUM Itholate Maple Waffle Protein from RAW Nutrition
- 1 cup oat flour (or any flour of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil (or any oil/butter of your choice)
- Cooking spray or additional oil for the waffle iron

Time to Start:

1. Preheat your waffle iron: Plug it in and let it heat up while you prepare the batter.

2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the oat flour, CBUM Itholate Maple Waffle Protein, baking powder, and cinnamon (if using).

3. Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The batter should be smooth and slightly thick.

5. Cook the waffles: Lightly spray the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with oil. Pour the batter into the waffle iron, spreading it out evenly. Close the waffle iron and cook according to your waffle iron’s instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and cooked through.

6. Serve: Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve immediately. Enjoy with your favorite toppings like fresh fruit, nut butter, or a drizzle of maple syrup.

Tips:

- If the batter is too thick, add a bit more milk until you reach the desired consistency!

- For extra flavor, add a handful of chocolate chips or nuts to the batter before cooking.

Enjoy your protein-packed waffles!
